Sara Ussher

"Sara believes that while horses are all different they all learn the same way.  Horses are not born 'bad' - their perceived behavioural problems are usually caused by incorrect training, pain or poor posture.  Over the years Sara has become increasingly aware that a horse's physical condition is linked to behavioural problems."  For more information about Sara and her techniques and beliefs please visit her website www.saraussher.co.uk

Penny Lawn, BHSII

I started my equine education at the Yorkshire Riding Centre with Jane & Chris Bartle when I left school and gained my B.H.S.I.I. over 20 years ago. After spending approximately 10 years in the South I returned home to Yorkshire to run my own yard producing & competing horses. A big influence on me at this time was my late trainer Ronnie Durrand & Pat Manning who took me to my first & second Burghley with Dauphin of Zenda & subsequent Burghley's with Hakuna Matata, and numerous CCI***'s with several horses. Since 2008 I have trained with Chris Bartle and still do with my current Advanced Event Stallion King of the Hill, and various up&coming youngsters that I ride for loyal owners. I enjoy helping people of different ages & abilities on their own horses/ ponies from pony club to International 3 day events in every aspect of the sport.
